Speech, Language & Literacy Support for Children and Adults
Online therapy and evaluations ยท Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii
How I Work
Language and literacy together.
Reading difficulties often have a language cause underneath them. I work across language, reading, spelling, and speech sound production rather than treating one piece in isolation.
Built for online.
Virtual isn't a fallback here, it's the design. Consistent scheduling, no commute, and access to a specialist regardless of where you live.
Families are part of the work.
Caregivers are present in sessions and I coach you on what to do between them. Children progress faster this way, and you always know what we're working on.
Progress you can see.
Ongoing progress monitoring, with goals listed and visuals shared with you and with school teams.
Individualized and evidence-based.
Plans built for your child, aligned with IEP or IFSP goals where those exist.
For Adults
18 years +Speech-language therapy for adults in Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii โ reading and spelling support, speech clarity, and communication recovery after stroke or brain injury. Sessions are online and can be scheduled around a workday.

Meet Megan
I'm Megan Heath, a speech-language pathologist and the owner of Mountain View Speech Services. I'm licensed in Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii, and I work with school-age children and adults on language, literacy, speech sound production, and social communication.
I've spent my career in schools, mostly with students on IEPs โ kids who were already identified, already receiving services, and often still stuck. What kept pulling my attention was how frequently the pieces connected in ways nobody had named: a child struggling to read who turned out to have an underlying language difficulty, or a student whose written work never came close to what they could tell you out loud. Language, reading, spelling, and speech sound production aren't separate problems that happen to share a therapist โ they're connected, and treating them as one picture works better than treating them as four. My ongoing training is focused on structured literacy, the evidence-based approach to reading and spelling instruction used with people who have dyslexia and related reading difficulties.
I work virtually by choice. It means a family in a small town can work with a specialist without a two-hour drive, and a child gets the same therapist all year instead of someone who rotates out at the end of a contract. In sessions with children, caregivers are right there โ you'll know what we're working on, why, and what to do in between. And you'll see the data: I track progress continuously and share it with you, and with your child's school team when that's useful.
Communication is the foundation for learning, connection, and confidence. Everyone I work with gets a plan built for them specifically, evidence behind every decision, and a therapist who is genuinely paying attention.
